Two GTA residents charged following identity theft investigation in Niagara

WELLAND – Two people from the Toronto area have been charged following an identity theft investigation here in Niagara.

Niagara Regional Police were called to an unnamed Welland business in response to a complaint that a patron was trying to conduct a transaction using forged identity documents.



Charged with obstructing a peace officer, two counts of identity theft, two counts of identity fraud, conspiracy to commit an indictable offence and breach of recognizance is 21-year-old Francisca Chasandra Serwaa Nantwi, of Toronto.

Charged with obstructing a peace officer, conspiracy to commit an indictable offence and failing to comply with a probation order is 23-year-old Randy Russell Stoney, of Brampton.

Both accused were held in police custody pending a bail hearing.
