The only time we really need 2 casinos running in Niagara Falls is during the Summer and during the Christmas holidays…..other than that, its inefficient to have 2 casinos. I know that it is a bitter pill to swallow, but we only need to run 2 casinos less than 25% of the year, thats not very efficient. If it were the Niagara Health system and there was that efficiency, they would have closed one a lot sooner.
Build more casinos. Make it the Vegas of the north.
Yes, the Vegas of the north … We should also increase greenhouse gases in the atmosphere so that Niagara is a much more temperate climate during the winter. That would certainly bring more tourists here during the winter months.
Wasn’t the first casino supposed to be opened in an existing building and to be closed when a new building was built? The splendid new building became a reality and somehow that temporary first site never was closed. The question should be: “Is there really enough income to support two cassinos in Niagara?” If the answer is “Yes!” then leave things alone. If not, then follow the original plan.
Do you need any facts to comment here or can you just give your unfounded opinion? Do we know how much the two casino’s cost vs. what they produce for the Province? If not, how can we have an opinion about their efficiency? If Ontario has figured a way to loose money on casino gambling it might prove what the pundits say about government screwing up anything to try to do to improve services etc. On the other hand if it makes a profit maybe it proves they do know how.
Sell the casino to Private citizens !!! Our government wants to control beer stores, liquor stores, casino’s etc, the problem is, that they couldn’t organize a two car funeral… C’mon Canada, Put it in the hands of people who have a stake in making it a world class operation and profitable…
