Man stabbed on Vine Street in St. Catharines

ST. CATHARINES – Niagara Regional Police are investigating a stabbing in St. Catharines, Tuesday evening.

Few details about the incident, which happened around 8 p.m. at 273 Vine St., were immediately available.

Police say the male victim was stabbed by an “unknown assailant” following a brief altercation.

The suspect was last seen running toward Vine Street.

The victim, whose name was not released by police, was transported to the St. Catharines General Hospital by ambulance.

His injuries are considered non-life threatening.

Members of the NRP’s 1 District criminal investigations branch are continuing their investigation.
