CRIME: Niagara Falls woman charged in connection with convenience store robbery

NIAGARA FALLS – Police have arrested a 21-year-old Niagara Falls woman in connection with a convenience store robbery last month.

The arrest was announced Thursday.



The robbery took place on Sept. 1o just before 9 p.m.

According to Niagara Regional Police, a female suspect had entered the store brandishing a “large” butcher knife and demanding money.

A “violent struggle” between the suspect and the store owner ensued, police allege.

The store owner was not injured and the suspect fled the store empty-handed.

Charged with one count of robbery is 21-year-old Shauna Marie Roberts.

The accused was held in police custody pending a bail hearing.
