Niagara Regional Police say Sunday evening and early Monday officers responded to a “series” of reports alleging three men were “harassing and intimidating” members of the public while posing as police officers.

The men were driving a silver Chevy Impala similar in appearance to an unmarked police vehicle.

During the incident, citizens were “compelled” to follow directions given to them by the suspects.

Following an investigation investigation, three Niagara Falls men were arrested.

Charged with Personating a Peace Officer are 20-year-old Jeromy Hoxie, 20-year-old Joseph Minty and 19-year-old Jesse Coons.

Hoxie is also charged with Disobey Court Order.

All three accused were released from custody and are scheduled to appear in St. Catharines court on Jan. 9 to answer to the charges.
