Grey Cup Tour makes stop in St. Catharines and Niagara Falls

The Grey Cup Tour made a stop in Niagara Wednesday as part of its cross-country caravan.

Fans had the opportunity at Rona in St. Catharines and Table Rock in Niagara Falls to view the Canadian Football League championship trophy.



Fort Erie’s Sandy Annunziata accompanied the Cup on its rounds. Annunziata is a former Fort Erie town councillor. He won two Grey Cup championships while a member of the Toronto Argonauts. He currently works as a football analyst for TSN.

The Grey Cup has been on a national tour since September and has travelled to Ontario from Vancouver, celebrating its 100th Anniversary. For more information on the Grey Cup Tour, go to www.greycuptour.ca.

After leaving Niagara, the cup was headed to Etobicoke Friday before ending with an event at the rail stop at Exhibition Place in Toronto Saturday.

The Grey Cup game is Nov. 25 in Toronto.
