Snow flies just in time for Santa’s arrival in St. Catharines

Bullet News

Santa made a stop in the Garden City Sunday afternoon with Mrs. Claus, much to the delight of the huge crowd that lined the downtown streets for the 10th annual parade.

Things were a little chilly and the flurries kicked in, but spirits were high and the parade provided lots of entertainment with music from several local school bands including St. Mary Catholic School’s exceptional Drumline and lots of great floats.

The procession started at the corner of Lake and William Streets and marched through to St. Paul, James and King Streets and then ended at Market Square for food, pony rides, music and fun for the entire family.

Volunteers collected non-perishable foods, hats and mittens from spectators along the parade route for Community Care of St. Catharines and Thorold and Canada Post was on hand to gather letters for Santa’s Letter Writing Program for all the good girls and boys.
