The Red Bull Crashed Ice weekend kicks into high gear today, says the head of the Victoria Centre BIA in Niagara Falls.
Chairman Eric Marcone emphasizes that the entertainment and the sport itself are all free for the festival.

He said things kick off this morning when the Red Bull bus rolls into town. Later in the day things will kick into musical high gear with a lineup of bands that includes The Roxwells, the Young Rivals and Teenage Kicks. Headlining the show are Juno Award winners the Arkells.
Friday’s festivities starting at 7 p.m. on Victoria Avenue, which will be blocked off from Clifton Hill to Magdalen Street. A number of bars will be open until 4 a.m. on both Fridat and Saturday nights.
Saturday is the main event for the Red Bull Crashed Ice Championship, where over 50,000 fans are expected to attend.
Marcone says the crowd will be large, but parking won’t be an issue.
“There is plenty of parking available at our BIA at various lots as well as plenty of parking down by the Fallsview areas.”
