Soup’s on in Niagara Falls: Seinfield character coming to Comic Con

The Soup Nazi is coming to Niagara Falls.

Larry Thomas is best known for his role as The Soup Nazi on Seinfeld and was nominated for an Emmy Award for his portrayal of an angry soup kitchen owner. He’ll be making a two-day appearance at the Comic Con show June 8-9 at the convention centre.



Show co-owner Chris Dabroski revealed the first three guests for the event, including a former Power Ranger and Flash Gordon himself.

“Our celebrity line in 2013 will include celebrities covering a wide-variety of genres, from superheroes to villains, star trek to star wars, and maybe even a famous helicopter. We’re still in the works on that one,” added Dabrowski.

Confirmed are actor Sam J. Jones is best known for playing the title character in the 1980 film Flash Gordon. Although the film itself didn’t do very well as the box office when it was released, it has developed a strong cult following.

Most recently, Jones had an extended cameo as himself alongside Mark Wahlberg in the 2012 hit comedy, “Ted” written by Family Guy’s Seth MacFarlane.

Also confirmed is Jason David Frank, who is best known for his role as Tommy Oliver “The Green Power Ranger” on Might Morphin’ Power Rangers television series, appearing in four separate incarnations of the show Mighty Morphin Alien’ Rangers, Power Rangers Zeo, Power Rangers Turbo, and Power Rangers Dino Thunder.

Tickets forComic Con will be available for online purchase starting Jan. 4 at 10 a.m. A weekend pass that includes admission on Saturday and Sunday will be available in advance online for $30. Tickets for each day can be purchased for $20 (in advance online). Children 10 and under are free.
