POLICE: 24-year-old man dies after snowmobile collides with van in West Lincoln

WEST LINCOLN – A 24-year-old man is dead following a snowmobile accident in West Lincoln, Wednesday night.

The accident happened around 9:05 p.m.



Niagara Regional Police say the victim was travelling southbound on Regional Road 24 when his snowmobile collided with a northbound van operated by a 67-year-old West Lincoln man.

The 24-year-old was thrown from the snowmobile.

Other motorists who came to his aid attempted to perform CPR, but the victim died of his injuries at the scene, police say.

The accident remains under investigation by detectives from the NRP’s collision reconstruction unit.

Witnesses are asked to contact investigators at 905-688-4111, ext. 5500.

The name of the victim has not been released by police.
