OHL: Niagara IceDogs trade for St. Catharines native Jordan Maletta

The Niagara IceDogs have acquired forward Jordan Maletta from the Windsor Spitfires in exchange for a conditional second-round pick in 2014 and a conditional fourth-round pick in 2016.

A St. Catharines native, Maletta was the Spitfires first round selection in the 2011 OHL Priority Selection, 13th overall.  In 93 career regular season games with Windsor, Maletta has nine goals and 23 assists for 32 points, along with a goal and an assist in four career playoff games.

A 6-foot-3, 215-pound right winger, Maletta will have at least one familiar face in the room, having been captain of the St. Catharines Falcons in his minor midget year, when he played with IceDogs defenceman Broderick Kelly.
