POLICE: Two youths charged in connection with convenience store robbery

PORT COLBORNE – Two youths have been charged in connection with an armed robbery at a convenience store in Port Colborne last fall.

The incident happened Nov. 3.



A male suspect entered Michel’s Variety at 94 Empire St. wearing a Halloween mask and armed with a kitchen knife.

The suspect demanded cash from the clerk then fled the scene.

On Tuesday, Niagara Regional Police arrested two youths.

Both accused have been charged with robbery. One of the males was charged with the additional offence of disguise with intent to commit an indictable offence.

Due to the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act neither accused can be named.
