Police have linked a 27-year-old man they arrested for assault this weekend to a home invasion in St. Catharines last weekend.
On Saturday, police responding to a series of assaults in the Queenston Street area identified the accused and arrested him without incident at a Collier Street address. He was charged with aggravated assault and assault.
The same man was also wanted in relation to a home invasion in St. Catharines on Saturday, Jan. 12. The incident took place around 3 a.m. on Edmund Street, where two men entered a single-family home by forcing their way through the front door. They confronted the male occupant, threatening him with a knife and forcing him to turn over and undisclosed quantity of cash and cell phones.
James Honsberger was also charged with robbery and unlawfully being in a dwelling house.
