UPDATED WEATHER ALERT: Monday’s freezing rain warning for Niagara has been lifted

UPDATE: The freezing rain warning for Niagara has now been lifted.

JOHN ROBBINS/Bullet News

It’ll be a slippery and dangerous commute to work Monday morning.

Environment Canada has issued a freezing rain warning for Niagara and much of Ontario as a large, low-pressure system works its way up from the United States.

The freezing rain will come after a wet snowfall overnight coated roads.

Road crews are out in force, but extreme caution is advised. Extra time should be allotted for travel Monday morning.

All schools are open.
