Region seeks input on plan to fight homelessness – see dates for public meetings

Niagara Region has launched an online survey asking residents for their views and ideas on how to best increase access to adequate, suitable and affordable housing. The public input will be used to develop a 10-year housing and homelessness action plan for Niagara.

“The survey will help ensure the action plan reflects the needs, perspectives and priorities of the community,” said Katherine Chislett, Commissioner of Community Services in a release. “We want to hear from as many people as possible in order to identify the community’s current and future housing needs, establish realistic and measurable goals, and the actions needed to meet those goals.”

The survey is part of a broader public consultation, which to date has included two community forums and meetings with a variety groups and organizations. The survey is located at www.niagararegion.ca/HHAP.
