CRIME: Two charged following drug raid at Welland home

WELLAND – Two people have been charged with drug trafficking following a raid on a Welland home.

On Tuesday, Niagara Regional Police executed a search warrant at the undisclosed Denistoun Avenue address.



Inside, investigators seized some $570 worth of heroin and prescription pills.

Eric Silvestri, 24, of Welland, is charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking and failing to comply with the conditions of an undertaking.

James Martin, 35, of Welland, is charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking.

Both accused were held in custody pending a bail hearing scheduled for today.
