CRIME: Police make St. Catharines ‘paving scam’ arrest

ST. CATHARINES – Niagara Regional Police have made an arrest in connection with what they are calling a “paving scam.”

The arrest was made Tuesday.



Investigators say they identified a person who was allegedly collecting money from residents in St. Catharines for paving jobs that were not completed.

Paul Henhawk, 48, of St. Catharines, is charged with fraud under $5000, attempt to commit a dual procedure offence, breach of probation and fail to comply with a recognizance of bail.

The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
