OHL: Niagara IceDogs lose 4-2 in Mississauga

The Niagara IceDogs fell to the Mississauga Steelheads by a score of 4-2 Friday night.

The IceDogs got on the board first as Steven Shipley tipped home a Luke Mercer point shot on the powerplay.  Mississauga answered back with a powerplay goal of their own only 40 seconds later to make it 1-1.



Jordan Maletta struck with his first as an IceDog to give the visitors the lead once again at 2-1.

Mississauga pulled even with their second powerplay goal of the night midway through the period.  A third Mississauga goal with 2:30 remaining in the period gave them their first lead of the night.

Mississauga scored their third powerplay goal of the night to make it a 4-2 game at the 11:42 mark of the third period.
The IceDogs will now return to St. Catharines where they will play host to the Oshawa Generals Saturday night at 7 p.m.
