THOROLD – Niagara Regional Police are searching for a male suspect who robbed a convenience store in Thorold at knifepoint.
The incident happened Sunday.
Around 11:45 p.m., a man entered the Avondale store, located on Richmond Street, armed with a knife and demanded cash from the lone clerk.
The suspect then fled the store with an undisclosed sum of cash.
He was last seen in a beige-coloured 1999 Crysler Cirrus, which had been reported stolen in St. Catharines earlier in the evening, according to investigators.
No description of the suspect was made available by police.
