CRIME: Welland man faces sexual assault charge involving 15-year-old girl

WELLAND – A Niagara man has been charged in connection with an alleged sexual assault against a 15-year-old girl.

In August 2012, the Niagara Regional Police Service commenced an investigation into an alleged sexual assault, which was said to have occurred in the early morning hours at a Welland residence.



The assault occurred following a house party.

The accused and the victim are not related.

On Feb. 13, Niagara Regional Police charged 42-year-old Mark Audette, of Welland.

Audette was released from custody following a bail hearing. He will appear in court at a later date to answer to the charges.
