CRIME: Brampton man faces 14 charges following investigation into ‘human trafficking’ in Niagara Falls

NIAGARA – A 30-year-old Brampton man is facing 14 criminal charges following an investigation into ‘human trafficking’ in Niagara Falls.

Niagara Regional Police say at the time of the arrest the accused male was on a recognizance of bail for living off the avails of prostitution.



The identity of the accused is not being released in order to protect the identity of the victim.

This investigation was conducted with the assistance of project “Disrupt the Flow,” which is designed to combat Human Trafficking.

The accused now faces the additional charges of trafficking in persons, receiving material benefits, three counts of assault with a weapon, three counts of assault, two counts of uttering threats and four counts of breach of recognizance.
