ST. CATHARINES: Recreation and Leisure Showcase next Saturday

ST. CATHARINES – Ever wonder what the difference is between pole walking and plain, old fashioned walking?

Find out all about Nordixx pole walking from a certified instructor and more at the City of St. Catharines’ Recreation and Leisure Showcase on Saturday, March 23.

Learn how the City can help you stay active and have fun through its many recreation and leisure programs and services. Take art, dance or drama lessons, try a new sport, enjoy the benefits of tai chi, and even learn to play a steel drum or to fly a model airplane. With more than a dozen displays and demonstrations there is something at the Recreation and Leisure Showcase for residents of all ages to discover and take up as new hobby.

The showcase runs from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. at the St. Catharines Kiwanis Aquatics Centre. Admission is free and so are the demonstrations. For those eager to get active, free leisure swimming will be available from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
