FORT ERIE – Niagara Regional Police say they found guns, ammunition and drugs during a search of a Fort Erie home, Friday.
Around 2 p.m., members of the NRP’s 5 District Criminal Investigations Branch, Guns, Gangs and Grows Unit, Morality Unit and Emergency Tactical Unit executed a search warrant at a Daytona Avenue residence.
Officers searched the residence and located a marijuana grow operation.
In total, two rifles, ammunition, $8,000 of marijuana and $1,000 of worth of growing equipment was seized.
Luigi Pivetta, 46, of Fort Erie, is charged with production of a Schedule II substance, possession of a Schedule II substance, two counts of unauthorized possession of a firearm and two counts of careless storage of a firearm.
Pivetta was later released on a Officer-in-Charge undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court at a later date to answer to the charges.
