WELLAND – One person has been charged after a woman and her small child were almost struck by a car in Welland, Thursday evening.
The incident happened around 8:10 p.m.
Niagara Regional Police say a grey Toyota Camry was allegedly being operated in a dangerous manner in the area of Exeter Avenue and McNaughton Avenue.
The driver of the vehicle was arrested for dangerous operation of a motor vehicle “after nearly running over an unknown woman and her small child,” police said in a statement.
Investigators are asking for public assistance to identify the unknown woman in order to assist them in their investigation.in relation to this incident is asked to call the Niagara Regional Police and speak with the on duty, Welland Staff Sergeant at 905-735-7811, ext. 3306, referencing incident #13-35794.
