THOROLD – A 30-year-old man is facing charges in connection with a robbery at a Thorold convenience store last month.
The arrest was announced Friday.
The incident happened May 29 around 3 a.m.
Niagara Regional Police say a lone male entered the 7-11 store located on Clairmont Street and demanded money from the clerk.
Police say the man was brandishing a knife. After receiving an undisclosed sum of cash, the man fled the store on foot.
The female clerk was not injured.
Charged is Tyler Castellan, of no fixed address.
He is charged with one count of robbery and one count of failing to comply with a probation order.
He is expected to appear in court in St. Catharines today for a bail hearing.
