WELLAND – A 30-year-old Port Colborne man suffered serious injuries when the motorcycle he was driving collided with a car in Welland, Thursday morning.
The accident happened around 8:15 a.m.
Niagara Regional Police say the victim was driving 2001 Harley Davidson northbound on Prince Charles Drive toward the intersection of Ontario Road when it struck a 2004 Toyota Sienna that crossed into its path.
As a result, the rider was ejected from the bike.
The victim, whose name has not been released by police, was transported by air ambulance to Sunnybrook Health Sciences in Toronto suffering from what police describe as serious but non-life-threatening injuries. As of Thursday evening, he was listed in stable condition.
The 49-year-old driver of the Toyota was not injured.
The collision remains under investigation by detectives of the Niagara Regional Police – Collision Reconstruction Unit.
