NIAGARA – An off-duty Niagara Regional Police officer was arrested following an alleged domestic dispute, Sunday morning.
Investigators say the incident happened at the officer’s home in Ridgeway and involved him and his common-law partner.
Const. Ryan Woehl, who has been with the NRP for eight years, is charged with two counts of assault, one count of mischief under $5,000, one count of unsafe storage of a firearm and two counts of unsafe storage of a prohibited device.
Woehl has been suspended with pay. At the time of the incident, he was assigned to the Casino Patrol Unit.
Woehl was held in custody pending a bail hearing today.
