FORT ERIE – A 30-year-old Niagara Regional Police officer is facing criminal charges in connection with a domestic dispute.
Const. Joseph Nardilli, a four-year officer assigned to the NRP’s Fort Erie detachment, was arrested Wednesday.
Police brass have said little about the allegations, other than they are said to have happened between Aug. 15 and Sept. 18.
The investigation was conducted by NRP’s domestic violence unit.
Nardilli is charged with criminal harassment, harassing phone calls, break and enter, unlawfully in a dwelling house and forcible entry.
The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
In accordance with the provisions of the Police Services Act of Ontario, Constable Nardilli has been suspended from duty with pay.
