The former Niagara Falls Memorial Arena is the venue where 25 incredible figures made of sand are exhibited. The pieces are dedicated to the War of 1812 and commemorate 200 years of peace between Canada and the U.S.
In total, 17 sculpting masters from Canada, the U.S., Russia and Europe combined their talents to create the masterpieces, which used approximately 6,622,517 pounds of sand.
Bullet News attended the ribbon cutting ceremony as highlighted in this video. For more information about “Sand and History” please visit: www.v2niagara.com
