ST. CATHARINES – Autism Spectrum disorders now affect a staggering 5,000 people in the Niagara region. Individuals with ASD have neurological challenges and experience difficulty in areas like communication and socialization.
Bullet News headed down to Johnny Rocco’s in St. Catharines for a meeting with Autism Ontario and the Niagara Regional Police, where details about the Autism Registry and its importance were discussed.
The Registry for People with Autism is a Niagara Regional Police Service initiative in partnership with the Niagara Region Chapter of Autism Ontario.
