FORT ERIE – The Niagara Regional Police Service is issuing a warning to residents in Fort Erie with regard to a male going door to door in the area.
According to police, a man attends residences and asks for money, stating that he has a sick child or a family member in need. The man is convincing with his story and has been given money by unsuspecting homeowners.
These incidents are believed to be fraudulent and are being investigated by members of #5 District Detective Office.
Police are asking anyone with information, or who may have given the man money, to contact the #5 District Detective Office at 905-871-2300, ext 2320.
