NIAGARA FALLS – Two Niagara Falls women have been arrested following the discovery by police of a marijuana grow op in a city home.
Earlier in October, the Guns, Gangs and Grows Unit of the Niagara Regional Police began an investigation into a suspected indoor marijuana growing operation on Montrose Road.
On Thursday Oct. 10, police executed a search warrant at the home, which resulted in the discovery of more than $200,000 worth of marijuana and a small amount of cocaine.
Arrested and charged with the production of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking are Tiffany Young, 38, and Liberty Young, 19, both of Niagara Falls.
Tiffany Young was held in custody pending a bail hearing and Liberty Young was released from custody to appear in court at a later date.
